  • Working Week: Monday-Friday, weekends may be an option. Minimum of 35 hours per week but the potential for more. Approx. 8 am - 4 pm but hours will be confirmed by the contractor during the interview.

Brief Description

We are looking for Enfield residents who are interested in completing a Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 36 months working as a Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice as part of a Shared Apprenticeship Scheme employed by Evolve Apprentices.

Qualifications Required

English GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Maths GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent)

Training to be Provided

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Future Prospects

On completion you can work as an assistant civil/setting out engineer or look to progress into a Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician apprenticeship which can lead into the Civil Engineer degree.

On completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship, you will be eligible for the CSCS Skilled Workers (Gold) Card.

Vacancy Detail

A Civil Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers and other construction professionals in the design, development, construction, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of the built environment and infrastructure.

Technicians will be required to have a broad skills base to work in various areas. Skills will include assisting in the development of technical solutions by producing design models, calculations, reports and drawings, surveying a site, and using appropriate analysis and relevant codes. Using appropriate software systems and other data-gathering tools and tests to solve technical problems. Contributing to the planning, managing work schedules, budgets and deadlines, and ensuring outputs comply with client and industry specifications, standards and guidance.

Operating quality systems and Health, Safety and Risk Management procedures and checking specified technical aspects of site activities.
