Brief Description

We are looking for Haringey borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 2 Groundworker apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 18 months working as a Groundworker Apprentice as part of the CITB / Flexi-Job Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices while completing the apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

English GCSE G/1 or above (or equivalent)
Maths GCSE G/1 or above (or equivalent)

Initiative, Patience, Physical fitness

Skills Required

Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Presentation skills, Team working.

Training to be Provided

Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Future Prospects

On completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Junior Groundworker where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior groundworker position or work your way up to a foreman/supervisor position. With experience and motivation, you could end up as a manager or even run your own company.
You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 2 qualification

Vacancy Detail

Alongside general labouring, Groundworkers work in construction and civil engineering sites, and they work closely with supervisors and engineers in interpreting design specifications to prepare the site ready for the structural building works to take place. They continue their work throughout the construction phase, working with all on-site construction trades, such as bricklayers and plant operatives, up to and including the final completion activities of the project
