Brief Description
We are looking for Brent borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 48 months working as an Electrical Apprentice as part of the CITB / Flexi-Job Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices while completing the apprenticeship
Qualifications Required
English GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Maths GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent)

Training to be Provided
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Monday-Friday, weekends may be an option. Minimum of 35 hours per week but potential for more. Approx. 8am - 5pm but hours will be confirmed by contractor after successfully passing the Stage 1 & 2 Interview.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems inside and outside of a project. They are at the forefront of installing new and exciting environmental technologies like heat pumps, solar thermal systems, biomass boilers, and water recycling systems.
• Assist with unloading and moving of deliveries / systems on site
• Keep site tidy and safe in line with company health and safety policy
• Assisting with the installation of fixtures, pipes, sinks, toilets, showers / baths, and drainage
• Assisting with the installation and decommissioning of radiators, boilers, and other heating systems such as underfloor
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you would be working to is the Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating (Standard) where we will be looking to partner with a college to provide the training.
This training will require you to attend college one day per week, you will be paid 7 hours on the day to do so. During half term breaks, you are to attend site 5 days a week unless you have outstanding assignments. You will be responsible to managing/arranging with your line manager.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Junior Plumber where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior position, site/contracts/project management, self-employment, or plumbing & heating business owner.
You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 3 qualification.
