Working Week: Monday-Friday. Minimum of 35 paid hours per week but the potential for more. Approx. 8 am-5 pm but hours will be confirmed by the contractor after successfully passing the Stage 1 & 2 Interviews.
Brief Description
We are looking for Hillingdon borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 4 Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship. The candidate will spend 36 months working as a Quantity Surveying Apprentice as part of the CITB / Flexi-Job Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices while completing the apprenticeship.
Qualifications Required
English GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Maths GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent)
5 x GCSEs including English, Maths & Science
Level 2 apprenticeship

Training to be Provided
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
Future Prospects
Upon completing this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Assistant Quantity Surveyor. With more experience, you can look to progress into a senior position and/or complete a degree-level qualification.
You will be eligible for the Supervisor (Gold) CSCS Card after completion of your apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
The main responsibilities of the apprentice will be.
As a quantity surveyor you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities, and project timelines and providing this information to clients. You will be liaising with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project on track.
The job role of a quantity surveyor involves the following duties:
• Liaising with clients to identify their needs; Submitting regular budget reports
• Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour
• Preparing tender and contract documents; identifying and weighing up commercial risks
• Assigning work to subcontractors; valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments
• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards; Following building regulations and health and safety
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you would be working for is the Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician (Standard) where we will be looking to partner with colleges to provide the training.
This training could be delivered either remote or in college (based on your preference and course availability) and you are expected to travel if needed for training and assessments. Learning with paid study time up to 7 hours/1 per day per week as needed. You will be responsible for taking ownership of your learning once enrolled.
