Brief Description

We are looking for Camden borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 3 Surveying Technician Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 24 months working as a Surveying Technician Apprentice as part of the CITB Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices.

Qualifications Required

The entry requirement for the apprenticeship will typically be five GCSEs at Grade C or higher including Maths and English or a Level 2 apprenticeship in a construction or property related discipline but the final decision is that of each employer.

Training to be Provided

Apprentices will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Surveying as a pre requisite to end point assessment and will become

What will the apprentice be doing?
The main duties and tasks of a Surveying Technician are:
• To collect information from inspections or visits to buildings, land and construction sites
• To take appropriate measurements of buildings, land or plans
• To meet with other professionals, clients, customers and others to obtain and provide information relating to land, property or construction
• To collect and record data relating to land, buildings or construction for technical use
• To manage work tasks relating to the area of practice
• To undertake costings and/or measurements and/or valuations using data collected from research
• To ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you would be working to is the Level 3 Surveying Technician (Standard) where we will be looking to partner with the local training provider.
This training will mainly be through remote learning with a paid study time as needed up to 7 hours/1 day per week. You are expected to travel if needed for training and assessments. You will be responsible for managing/arranging with your line manager.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Assistant Quantity Surveyor where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior position and/or complete a degree level qualification.
You will be eligible for the Supervisor (Gold) CSCS Card after completion of your apprenticeship.
