Brief Description

We are looking for Newham borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 2 Formworker apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 18 months working as a Formworker Apprentice as part of the CITB / Flexi-Job Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices while completing the apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

English GCSE G/1 or above (or equivalent)
Maths GCSE G/1 or above (or equivalent)

Training to be Provided

Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Future Prospects

The qualification you would gain is the Level 2 Formworks Apprenticeship (Standard or NVQ) where we will be looking to partner with a training providing to provide the training, provider not yet confirmed.

Vacancy Detail

Alongside general labouring, Formworkers fabricate and/or erect falsework or formwork making use of various hand tools and power tools to facilitate the pouring of concrete during sub and super-structure construction of commercial and residential projects; as well as civils projects..
- Assisting carpenters initially with a view to becoming a formwork carpenter
- Striking / dismantling formwork and falsework
- Building structures on site using wood or putting together pre-made metal frames
- Dismantling casts without damaging them, so that they can be used again
- Must be comfortable working at height, will be trained to do so
